March visit to the Cincinnati Zoo

These are some pictures taken during our Spring visit to the Cincinnzti Zoo. We got there at the break of dawn (well, Stacy was almost there at the break of dawn). The weather was thretening to rain on us the entire time, but we lucked out - giving us nice even lighting for shots. Sky shots were a challenge, but we managed. Stacy and Andy gort some GREAT photos of the monkeys - I just never get the exposure correct!

Sierra Club calendar contest

Attached are the two photos submitted with in the 2007 Sierra Club calendar contest. The butterfly won third prize in the wildlife category. The European Starling received an honorable mention in the honorable mention category as well. This was my first contest as an amateur photographer. These remain two of my favorite pictures.

Krohn's Conservatory

Krohn's Conservatory had a new display for African butterflies. They started a new policy where only photographers can enter for three of the evenings the display is open. These photos were taken on the last of these reserved evenings. Stacey and I went for the evening and ended the night at El Pueblos (excellent Mexican in Blue Ash).
